Opening hours

We inform you that restoration works on the XIX century wing of our gypsotheque have just started. This important yard is scheduled to be operating till next October and it will help the structural consolidation and seismic improvement of the building as well as the patrimony digitalization.
Despite the yard, visitors can access both the entry hall and the first bay of this wing, enjoy Scarpa’s extension and the three floors of the Sculptor’s birth house. Guided tours at pre-fixed time slots or customized guided tours can be booked any time to discover the magnificence of Canova’s art and the secrets of our museum complex.

Opening hours
Tuesday – Friday, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm.
Weekends/Holidays, 09:30 am – 7:00 pm.
Last entry: one hour before closing.

Public holidays
The museum remains open on Easter Monday, April 25th, May 1st, June 2nd, August 15th, November 1st and December 26th

Closed on
Mondays (closing day), December 25th, January 1st and Easter.

€ 6,00 for visitors over the age of 65, student under the age of 25, members of security forces, teachers, people with disabilities, Touring Club, FAI and Area Arte members; booking is required for groups of 20 people.

● Car
From the A4 motorway (Venice-Trieste), exit in Vicenza Nord, then continue on SR53, SP20 and SP26 towards Possagno.
From the A13 motorway, exit in Padua, continue on SR308, SR245 and SP20 towards Possagno.

● Train
The closest railway stations are:
Bassano del Grappa (VI), about 25 minutes by car from Possagno;
Castelfranco Veneto (TV), about 30 minutes by car from Possagno;
Cornuda (TV), about 15 minutes by car from Possagno.

The Museum will offer its visitors a new tool to enhance their visit: a brand new web app with text and media contents, an interactive map and thematic itineraries to deepen your knowledge of Canova’s life and masterpieces. ● Parking
Free parking in front of the Museum, 120 minutes max. Free parking nearby with no time limits. Free parking along the road to the Temple with no time limits.

● Security and luggages
Museum rooms are video-monitored. No baggage storage is available.

● Animals
Small size animals are welcome, but they need to be held or in their travel bag. Assistance dogs can enter with no restrictions.

● Sanitary Facilities
The museum is equipped with bathrooms that can be reached by crossing the garden inside the museum. Toilets comply with the needs of people with reduced mobility.

● Nursery
An area with a changing table has also been set.

● Bookshop
Visitors will find the Museum bookshop in the ticket office area.

It is possible to cancel your reservation, giving us a call or sending us an email.
It may happen that your visit needs to be re-scheduled due to unexpected events. In these cases it will be our priority to promptly contact you and choose a new date.
