The painting depicts a naked Venus, laying on a heavily decorated antique couch. She is caught while uncovering her legs, and a Faun comes out at her feet and is totally enamored with the woman. The painting was realized by the artist during his first Roman stay and the references to Giorgione and Tiziano’s Venetian art are very noticeable.
