Antonio Canova's Museum is one of the few museums in the world where visitors can see his birth house and the full collection of his sculptures made for the celebrities of his time (Napoleon, the Popes, the King of England, the Austrian Emperor, etc...).

It is hard to describe the astonishment the visitors feel entering the Gallery when they are surrounded by hundreds of sculptures: gods, heroes, muses and lovers from Greek mythology and portraits of statesmen, princes, kings and emperors.

Today this museum constitutes a necessary reference point for all the museums in the world that jealously preserve the marble masterpieces, expressions of his talent: the Musée du Louvre, the Ermitage of S. Petersburg, the Victoria and Albert Museum of London, the Apsley House in London, the Augustinerkirche, the Hofburg and Kunsthistorisches Museum of Wien, the Alte Pinakothek of Monaco, the Staatlichen Museen and the Nationalgalerie of Berlin, the Kunsthalle of Bremen, Villa La Grange of Geneva, the Museum of Western and Eastern Art of Kiev, the Galleria Palatina of Florence, the Musei Vaticani, the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna, the Musei Capitolini, the Galleria Borghese, the Museum of Capodimonte in Naples, the Museum of S. Agostino of Genova, the Museum Correr of Venice and the Musei Civici agli Eremitani of Padua.
